To reach the sawmill from the M6 take Junction 36 and go West following signs for the A590. Turn left at the first exit on to the A590 towards Barrow. Continue on the A590 for 11 miles until you reach the roundabout at Newby Bridge. Carry straight on over the roundabout for 300 yards to take the first right turn over a narrow humpback bridge (go slowly!) toward the Swan Hotel. Turn left at the Swan and then follow the road round to the right (don't turn left down by the river). Follow this road for 4.5 miles through Lakeside and past Graythwaite Hall. The sawmill is on your left 0.8 miles past the Hall.
